The Daily Rundown
August 5th to August 11th

August 8th

Yeah. This is almost definitely a map.

While this - this is the best map I've ever seen by this map maker.

And this map is quite one of the freakiest cool races I've ever seen.

August 9th

Although this map didn't actually remind me of an Acid Storm, it was a pretty crazy accomplishment.

A map of both stylistic and gameplay greatness.

Now, the beginning to this map is also quite amazing.

August 10th

Another best map ever from an author I don't usually enjoy.

August 11th

This map has both intriguing and fantastic mine work.

Artist Commentary of the Third Kind

Broghan, formerly Orion_

Senor: This was my second map on Numa, and one of the first that I made. I still love it to this day. It has a great feel to it, and is fairly simple. The drones were a last minute idea, if I remember correctly.

Czar: When I felt that the time was right to start my episodes, I created this map. I love the tunnel apsect of it, and how quick the map is. It really forces you to think quickly. But then you have the choice of completing the map without the gold.

Shakespear: Most definately one of my most celebrated maps. krusch helped me turn the basic idea that I had into some fine tuned aesthetics. I fine tuned some bits and made it my own, I think. I love the map because you feel the size of the tiles, and you become dwarfed by them. Once again, it's fairly quick and sweet and interesting.

Early 802: Wow. I remember making this map and thinking that I really had something going. As it turns out, others thought the same. I love playing this map. It embodies Space Age, one of my styles that I am known for. I'm partial to making vertical caves with gold at the top because I love how it slows the map down. That became a goal for me, due to the fact that I noticed how short my maps were. Z snap gold!

Bust A Move: The title is a laugh, first off. I named it so because of the thumbnail, and because the song is great. This is my Metanet style, the other style that people know me for. This one is choc-full of flow and simple aesthetics. Easy to make, quick to play and quick to finish. The only thing that I didn't like at that time was the fact that I (and other authors) had a sniper. I guess it didn't help when I abused him.

Four Kicks: Inspired by an 90s TV show, I wanted to go absract to see how well it would turn out. The mine placement is copied straight from a krusch map, but the rest is all me. Once again, empty but fun. It you flick through my maps, you'll see that I stopped this style after a short period.
Oh, and I made this before Yahoozy coined this style, :P

Van Gogh's Starry Night: I have to put in a word for this one. This map is most likely the one I have spent the most time on, which is a rarity for me, being the person who can make a decent map in 10 minutes or less.
I tried to make it as close as I could the the Van Gogh it's self. And I wanted to make it playable to add another likeable element to it. I made it for krusch and KA.

Gengar el Sinister: It's freaking Gengar. How could I not? Seriously?

Soothing ACTION ACTION ACTION!: I used to make maps like this when I first started. It feels so old to me, and it's one of my favourite maps that I have made. the whole scheme and length of the map makes it all the more special. It was dedicated to Dave.

Flight Response: I thought that I'd end this with my first map on NUMA. I love it so much. 8 tiles, gauss and square gold clusters. Oh, yes.

For another week, adieu. xx
