i suggest looking at some of the top rated races and trying to replicate parts from them at first - when you feel comfy making generic races you can move onto more complex ones. this isnt very good tho - dont just rely on circles to make the race flowy - you can use sides of walls, one ways, secret doors and enemy placement to define the flow - think outside the box :D
