You were in the special decontamination toilets of the research facility and you pressed the flush button - the one that dumps the whole cubicle into the sewers below! WHY this button is pressable from the inside of the cubicle, god only knows. Perhaps so people who realise they are contaminated can dispose of themselves selflessly o_O Anyway, follow the pipes around, watch out for the garbage compactors, encrusted 'waste matter' on the pipe walls and you may need to go into some of the cavernous crawlspaces to open some valves.
