Way back. Way, way back, before sliced bread even. There was one thing tootling around, minding its own business, completely unaware that it was the best thing in the world. A map of incoherently fantastic difficulty, just waiting to grasp you into an addictive embrace without ever releasing you. This is not to say that the map is devalued by difficulty, no, the map manages to be better than its constituent parts because of, not despite its shortcomings.
And as an added bonus, there is a year-old dedication offer, which hasn’t been claimed yet.

this map is one of the only maps which has stuck with me properly. I kept coming back to it every couple of months, and I've completed it a few times without posting. It had been on my to-review list for ages, but I was worried people would ruin it because of the difficulty. Glad I featured it.

What I really enjoyed about this map
was that it was made all the more difficult by forcing you to control your jumps. If you hold the jump key all the way like you would speeding through your typical race map, you'd almost immediately find yourself blown to bits. Additionally, it was quite obvious (at least to me) how the flow was meant to be, despite the difficulty of performing the appropriately timed and controlled jumps necessary to follow such a path. The only thing I found annoying was having to usually bet on luck when passing through the missile turret right before the exit switch, in which that particular turret tended to fire sporadically. Anyhow, it contributed to the difficulty. 5aved.

Your maps are one of the only things that keep me here, though I seldom comment. But each and every one (and I mean every single one left) is a work of art and I pretty much love them all. Expect great things.

the rockets, although they add a nice challenge and stressful quality to it, are in a sense a bit extreme. heres an around 1/4 demo... isnt the trap door supposed to STOP the rcoket?

Awesome map choice, mintnut.
This map has been a joy to play (so far). I haven't been able to complete it yet, but it's sure been fun.
Race + Good looks + higher level of difficulty than normal = Nice mix.

I managed to get right to the end once.
But I jumped just a tad too enthusiastically and hit the mine right on top of the door. Which pissed me off more. What were the mines surrounding the exit for exactly?
The run was pretty stuttery though, I was so surprised when I'd actually got to the exit switch i forgot what to do next. Also, I didn't give this a 3, i gave it a 5, it's well good.

but the rocket when falling down the platform is still a bit unfair. I have no idea how to get past it. Whenever I DO make the jump, the rocket gets me.

You'd already edited it. It's still way too difficult though. Almost every rocket has a tendency to kill you if you make even the slightest hesitation, and each jump requires you to be carrying an amount of momentum with next to no lee-way.
In the end all this map has done is piss me off. Favourited though.

Maybe some people didn't happen like those maps? This, is a really nice map, apart from that jump to get into the top section, I must have been playing this for about 1 and a half hours, and I still couldn't get past the topmost mine. I'd probably give it a 3 given the unnecessary difficulty there, but I'm now holding out for your revision.

Some parts are very clever
but the jump where you jump into the platform at the very top isn't cleverly hard like the other jumps. It is just annoyingly nitpicky instead of needing any fun jumping. I spent well over a half an hour trying to get that jump right and I'm just not going to bother anymore. The rest, especially the jumps in the right are fun though.

and metamorphically catch my breadth, I just can't do this as a race. Can someone submit a demo so I can see raced.
