Absolutely nothing
to fault here. Deep atmosphere, perfectly crafted transitions (especially the jump into the gold area) and tension, and flowing and intuitive play.
The middle is like a maw threatening to engulf, a terrible fruit tempting an insect inside with its exposed, glistening pulp. The imagery created is perfect.
You're my favourite author at the moment.
