I was kind of aiming for some simple things to begin with, they weren't meant to be 'good' maps, just unique, I built this one in literally two minutes, I was messing around and decided to post it. I'll check out that guide. :)

First of all, maybe put some tiles into your maps, and put a bit more effort, as placing launchpads isn't really good, and fun.
Also, it was a bit too easy there, even I could complete it and I am bad at N! :P
Also, there is a nice guide here [forum.therealn.com] which can help you. It takes practice but you'll make some good maps in no time!

The speed at which you can 'beat' this level

was irrelevant to begin with, it's like a moonbounce for ninjas. :)

after 1 attempt pretty obvious this the only way to do it and after that the rest of the map even the rocket becomes completely irrelevant the speed at which you can do it which just requires loads of boring attempts try to make one where there are diffrent possible routes.
