Map Data

Description I've gotten sick of how everyone thinks N+ has to be stupidly impossible to be fun. THAT'S DOESN'T MAKE IT FUN! So I decided to make my own map. Here's the deal with this map;

It's a mix of a couple different styles. You have to solve puzzles, figure out what to do next, coins gives you clues to what to do and when (like where to jump) so definitely pay attention to the coins, and I'm trying a new idea of rewarding the player for beating the map by letting you watch a nifty auto-play at the end. DON'T DO ANYTHING when you jump between a bunch of spikes or you'll ruin the auto-play. I had 'RPG' in mind when I made the map, so that's what I'm calling it.

This is for players that want to ENJOY a casual, fun map. Most of the jumps are forgiving (a spring might make you redo the jump rather then some gay missile making you redo the whole level.) Don't go posting your "ZOMG HIGH SCORE" because no one cares. This map isn't for hardcore players, just for those who want to have fun.

don't clutter soo much, everyone hates it, and it screams nooob! I agree, you will get better, keep at it.
unlike most noobs.

You'll get better :)

meh

first of all, i lol at the description.
as for the map, i agree with muggins. wasn't really fun, and just looked generally chaotic. haven't been able to finish it all yet, because i wasn't sure when to stop being pushed around by bouncepads and do my own work.

but yes, a good effort.

the how to demo

You guys are replying only a few minutes after my putting the maps up. You do have to actually put some effort and time into them. Here's how you do it. I'm not spoiling the ending tho.
Demo Data

It's wierd. 3.5/5

It's not really a maze, as there's only one way you can go at all times, though I guess to someone whose looking at it for the first time it might seem that way. I wanted to add a lot but suppose that wasn't a good idea. Know that MOST of the time I spent making this map was figuring out how to add as few springs/other jumbo as much as possible. The only trap that really can kill you is the one at the top right, so you have to be ready for it. The other traps are actually harmless and are just there to prevent people from trying to 'cheat the jump'. As a tip for playing this map, let a series of jumps do it's thing before you do anything.
Very good effort though. 2.5^.

Ew.

There are so many objects, that the level looks too messy. Hordes of objects are splurged around the map and just add to the ms/f - to make the game slow. It is extremly claustrobic and is just confusing to navigate through the level. I understand that you're trying to make a maze, but the maze is so confusing it takes away the fun. N isn't entirely based on mazes, it's more about dodging enemies, collecting gold and getting to the exit. I see this is your first map, here are a few tips:
- Keep maps more simple. Complex maps can get very confusing.
- Work on some tilesets - you can use some-one elses or you can make your own. Make it look nice,
- Don't put so many objects onto the map. It gets messy and confusing.
- Don't add annoying traps.

Keep making maps.
Not to worry, you some good ideas and some areas were well thought out. The problems I had with the map were:
Too linear; there was very little freedom to move where you liked,
The layout leads to confusion and death in many instances.

Simplicity is the key, make a more open map with room to run and hide from enemies. Very good effort though.

*How to* demo

This is my first map so please let me know what you think. I'm considering taking out the spike at the top right jump and adding 20sec more in coins so more casual players can enjoy it and so you don't have to have the level memorized to do it in time. I'll post a demo of how to play the level eventually but prefer to see people figure out how to play the level, as that was the intention when making it. READ THE DESCRIPTION. Did you like the ending?
