Why? Because the biggest pet-peeve I have with races is when they're made for a slower playthrough than is possible. (What ska said, condensed.)
Also, I disliked the chimneying bit. That's not your fault--it's just no fun to chimney one-ways.

OK - This is a good race by anyone's standard, however I feel like the map could've been refined better if a more diverse of players (AKA highscorers) tested the map more thoroughly first; this is particularly evident when players push for big jumps only to be decapatitated by a rogue mine or cut off due to a laser drone glitch/timing, I can understand this is to add to the faux danger that in reality shouldn't exist but as seen in my "take 2" demo, mines can be hit, (perhaps a one way or two could fix this while keeping the map tidy. The good stuff is (while the start was generic - and that's ok, I'm all down for generic) the map's flow was inventive, creative and intense (especially played with pulsating music! :P) The bounce block thing was pretty neat and worked well within the core idea of the map (perhaps another diagonal launchpad where those mines would make that area a little less cluttered (annoying). Tiles were sweet. I can't understand the logic behind a 2 out of 5, this map deserves at least a 3.5 imo. I'm going to rate a solid 4.

I said atmosphere, I kinda meant, erm...it's hard to explain, just that something, I don't know what it is, just that it seemed like it hadn't quite hit the target for me...the tileset is good, a _destiny^- trademark.

I loved it, except I died everytime because I went to fast and the laser moved to far forward, this is the only demo which I completed it so I was shocked and panicked , so death/confused demo, but I like the tiles, speed, everything, great work! faved

I didn't really like it
It was easy to tell that its author was an accomplished race maker, but it lacked that certain something which would have created an atmosphere; I just felt that I'd seen it all before, except maybe the lasers in the tiles, which was annoying.

I like the look of it
But I don't think the enemies were involved enough to put across the image conveyed by the tileset, if that makes any sense. Also, the chimneying section is annoying at times. Other than that, excellent.
