Interesting
First of all, you spelled gauss incorrectly. But that's probably not going to affect ratings on your map.
Anyways, as you said, that was a hard gauss.
I'm not the best rater of maps, but personally, that lower right and 3/4's up left parts seemed kinda out of place, and in a word, pointless, because it was there but it had no purpose. So if I were you, I'd take that out, but again, that's just me.
Also, I'd add a bit more gold to this. 4/5 though, it was pretty cool.
