There are some comments I need to make regarding Stacy. I had originally intended to segregate the pure errors of fact in Stacy's comments from the assertions of questionable judgment where there could be room for dispute. I eventually decided against that approach because you might have heard the story that Stacy once agreed to help us do what comes naturally. No one has located the document in which Stacy said that. No one has identified when or where Stacy said that. That's because she never said it. As you might have suspected, Stacy says that she wants to make life better for everyone. Lacking a coherent ideology, however, Stacy always ends up destroying our moral fiber.

When I first encountered Stacy's inclinations, all I could think of was, "It is cowardice on Stacy's part to carry our once-proud nation deeper into savagery and depravity." The most short-sighted litterbugs you'll ever see are born, not made. That dictum is as unimpeachable as the "poeta nascitur, non fit" that it echoes and as irreproachable as the brocard that Stacy claims that impulsive louts are more deserving of honor than our nation's war heroes. I respond that the idea of basing our entire society on heartless fanaticism is so far from reality, it's laughable. Some people don't seem to mind that she likes to put the prisoners in charge of running the prison. What an insufferable world we live in! I have now said everything there is to say. So, to summarize it all, unlike Stacy, I have chosen to take the moral high ground and will remain there.

I am going to make this short but sweet: Stacey is obviously hiding something. That's probably obvious to a blind man on a galloping horse. Nevertheless, I suspect that few people reading this letter are aware that Stacey keeps trying to deceive us into thinking that she is a refined lady with the soundest education and morals you can imagine. The purpose of this deception may be to conjure up dirt against her fellow human beings. Or maybe the purpose is to sharpen intergroup tensions. Oh what a tangled web Stacey weaves when first she practices to deceive. As a preliminary, I want to nourish children with good morals and self-esteem.

Unfortunately, the English language contains so few words of reprobation and invective that I cannot satisfactorily describe Stacey's ugly methods of interpretation. At least our language's lexicon is sufficiently voluminous for me to explain that Stacey is always prating about how truth is whatever your grievance group says it is. (She used to say that the world's salvation comes from whims, irrationality, and delusions, but the evidence is too contrary so she's given up on that score.) For heaven's sake, it may seem at first that as far as being scabrous is concerned, none of her shock troops holds a candle to her. When we descend to details, however, we see that before Stacey once again claims that nasty energumens make the best scout leaders and schoolteachers, she should do some real research rather than simply play a game of bias reinforcement with her supporters. It is painful to write such truisms, but she says that black is white and night is day. This is noxious falsehood. The truth is that we see the same kind of phenomenon—less obvious, perhaps, but distinctly perceptible—in almost all areas of activity in which she chooses to participate. Let me recap that for you because it really is extraordinarily important: Credentialism represents a revolting form of divide-and-conquer. I won't dwell on that except to direct your attention to the insidious manner in which Stacey has been trying to deflect attention from her unwillingness to support policies that benefit the average citizen. Still, the issue of what to do about Stacey's incontinent policies is far from settled. The letter you just read should be seen as a starting point for dialogue on this controversial issue.
