Pesonally I love this map. The gameplay was really good to me, and I loved the style of the gold mines and tiles together. I was only disappointed by the backtracking at the end, it provided no extra challenege, and meant that some of the awesome tiles were unused. Here is a rather poor edit just showing something maybe worth considering. Either, way, great map.

I like the tiles, but the gold ruins the aesthetics in my opinion. The two doors at the left are unnecessary and also don't look good.
Also, the map is kind of lacking in gameplay - it just gets boring.
