I suck balls at this game
No seriously. I can't even beat the second column in original game lol. So, while I can't beat your level, I can tell what it would be like to beat it, and I'll try to provide comments on that. First off, you have shown me what to do in n maps ;) See, I'm actually a (somewhat) skilled 3d level designer (just for fun, not pro or anything) so I'm no stranger to gameplay ideas, I just wasn't sure how this would transfer to a game like N. But anyways...back to your map:
-you kept things very simple (I get it now) with a fairly small map and only two types of enemies, the mines and the rockets
-you used complex geometry (blocks), which makes you seem credible and your level seem funky....lol, alson the 'decorative' mines on the outside further the overall image of the level...which is always good
-I love how the player starts, unique, cool
-You used the proximity to the enemies rather than their quantity as the threat
-The gold placement was nice, I hate having to run around for individual pieces of gold, this way, it was centralized, but at the same time it was impossible to get it all at once
-There was an overall irregular symmetry to the map that was pleasing
-You made use of all of the level space, there was no "dead space"
Well, I'm sorry about this rant. It really was more for my sake than yours, and I probably sound like a stuck-up moron now but oh well. Anyways, I'm not going to post a demo (cause I can't beat it) but I'd probably give this a 4/5. It is a fun, amusing, addictive level, but it isn't very.....epic. Personally, I would make it more about the mines and less about the rockets, but maybe that's just cause I hate rockets. :P

made it!
The tileset is cool and I like how the player starts. Can't find anything bad in this map.
Not too hard, not too easy.
