5/5 as a first map
Perfect gold placement. There isn't a huge challenge but that supports the fun factor.

Slow AGD
bounce blocks under the lower inside gold would have been a nice touch

lactose3: you did essentially nothing wrong, this map just lacks flair. But more importantly, you didn't spam, the object placement is clean, and the gameplay is replayable.

Hi and Welcome to NUMA!
This map is pretty good for a starter... You should try different styles and layouts per map to challenge yourself and get better at this. Remember that your first map won't always be your best, so whenever you feel your map isn't good enough, try making a better one.

Okay,
about that gold thing on paths, he's right, don't, but also don't place it too off of the path either.

Slow AGD (all gold demo)
This feels very metanetish (that's a good thing usually). The rocket, gold, and mines were great. The tiles were bland, but oh well, you're new. If you have any questions, feel free to ask by posting on one of my maps. I don't rate up because this is a first, but this was pretty good, so 3.5^, so 4/5. Welcome to NUMA

WELCOME
I HOPE YOU ENJOI YOUR VISIT.
This map is quite nice for a first, but try add alittle more 'pizzaz' on the next one. Add different tiles, use c snap (or z if you wanna do some hardcore there), and make it vary from all the other maps.

Honestly, this is a pretty good first
Listen to the following and you'll improve quickly:
Don't put gold right along the path - it's meant to offer an extra challenge.
Most people start with tiles first then add objects, but it's up to you.
Usually, less enemies is better, fewer enemies can offer a challenge without making it frustrating.
1 enemy can do the job of 3.
Don't lock enemies behind doors.
Watch where you put your trapdoors. If they lock the ninja in a corner or a place where you can't get out, it's a bad idea to place it there.
Feel free to ask questions.
Just keep mapping - You'll start to understand what makes a good map.
Always listen to advice from respectable authors.
Don't hide enemies or items.
Don't spam items or enemies or maps.
Only post 2 maps on Hot Maps at a time.
Play other people's maps. . . a lot.
Learn new things, and try new ideas and concepts.
If you devolp a style that works, stick with it if you want to. If not, that's fine too.
Playtest ALL of your maps (Can't stress that enough).
Anyway, Welcome to NUMA

This is really nice
It's a great map in general. As a first map, it's completely mindblowingly awesome.
