Definitely not a tree.
It's a girl with a long ponytail, wearing a martial-arts-ish robe and balancing on a rocky pinnacle tall enough to overlook the horizon.
The title is a reference to this map [nmaps.net], which references a MegaTokyo comic [megatokyo.com]. It's basically a foil to that map, something more active and confident than its counterpart.
In retrospect, she closely resembles the Fight Card from Cardcaptor Sakura in all aspects but her hair.
