The main points of the changes are;
Don't use many objects when one will do; the Gauss turrets have been reduced to one each side.
Don't use objects that have little or not actual function; the trapdoors were not to any effect before (they are now since they actually lock in the exit if you trigger them both). Also, the thwumps have been altered so that they carry you up (you do this by placing them one pixel above the middle of the floor using the z snap).
Don't have gold overlap other items (especially not items); the gold has been removed where it overlapped the mines and switches.
One could argue that the locked doors have no function as well, but I left them in for good measure. I hope you appreciate the help and do not take this for a condescending remark for it isn't meant as one.
