aesthetically this map is pretty poor.

Nevershine's maps have an aesthetic that a lot of people appreciate. This is on of many reasons why he gets many comments and rates. Popularity is not one of them. Generally good and pretty maps = a popular attitude about your maps = more people play your maps. Try to keep a good attitude, the comment you made on Nevershine's map isn't something that makes people want to play your maps, because you sound bitter and condescending.
