Agree on enemies. I try to follow it.
it generally leads to the map being more consistent. I don't usually like maps that have, say, a rocket, a seeker, 2 gauss, 4 floorguards, and a thwump.

Is the map title a reference to Dream Theater?

eh... if there was any variance in enemies, tiles, the low difficulty level, /anything/, i might agree with you, but none of that is happening here. theres very little excitement in this, everything is the same. as i said before, of course an unchanging level of difficulty isnt always bad, it just didnt work for me here, but i suppose this is just getting down to personal preferences.

but of course, im not exactly known for my prowess in mapping as you are ;)
Some maps benefit from a gradual difficulty curb, some play up to a constant and tighter tension. This is one of the latter types.

There are only two safe havens, and as the map is of a moderate difficulty you're not tempted to hang out any longer than the drones might force you too so they don't work against the play.

Just imo, of course.

it was good, very well-made. however, it got boring rather quickly. the problem with this map is that the difficulty level is exactly the same the entire time, which isnt always bad, but here it makes the gameplay a little stale. obviously, huge difficulty spikes are to be avoided (except in simple-challenge-type maps), but theres gotta be at least be some fluctuation in difficulty to keep things interesting.
