As for the map, it's cool, but too long. "Strategically placed mines"... I'm not sure :) I often try to incorporate some parts of flow in my maps and I place mines so they don't break the pace. But I liked your map, tricky in a good way. Pity it's sooo long. Third try demo below.

I read your samples,

they looked okay. The "story" thing is fine once in a while, but being able to do more conventional reviews is important. You seem to write fine though so that shouldn't be a problem. You know how the queue works and everything?
