Nathan took Alucard's sword and plunged the blade into the demons great eye. The air around Nathan burst into a fiery inferno, the flames forcing his eyes shut as a ghastly roar echoed through the moonlight night. The roar of a dieing monster. Nathan felt the rush of air as he fell, his acrobat instincts cause him to immediately right himself, the hard stone floor of the column lined throne room rushed up to meet him. Nathan closed his eyes, and time seemed to stop as he remembered, his childhood friends, his first time meeting Top-Hat, his mother's smile, his first time to the circus, his reunion with his father after the war, and mixed between these a melancholy sense of great achievement. "I did it. The world, is safe... I guess, my life is a small price to pay." He opened his eyes and looked back up at the cloud shrouded sky, "Heaven, keep those gates open for me." Nathan closed his eyes again and smiled, he had won. A sudden deceleration, and the sound of strain made Nathan open his eyes. Alucard held him like a bride, his grandfather's steel-like focused face looking at their destined landing. The stone shattered beneath them as they landed, Nathan gasped as he felt a shard of stone pierce his thigh. Alucard set Nathan on the ground. "It is finished," he spoke looking at the vacant throne of his father. "the final stone is all that remains, and when it is destroyed my Father's legacy will reach its end." He turned to Nathan, "It would be best for you to leave this place as quickly as possible, once the stone is broken this castle will collapse into history." Nathan nodded, still breathless from the battle. He stood shakily, he removed the stone with a quick wrench and nearly toppled over from the pain. "Will I ever see you again Arikado?" Alucard, who had been walking away, stopped and turned. "No, Nathan, you will not. I will end the curse of Vampirism and with it my blood line." He then turned and continued to walk away. Nathan turned to the exit, and shuddered. Terror possessed his face. Mere inches away from Nathan's face he stood there blood dripping from the dark demonic smile that spread across his face. Nathan whispered under his breath, "Dracula..." He looked down and saw the Lord of Darkness's hand buried in his gut. He crumpled to the floor his eyes looking away from the demon. Alucard whirled around, and saw his father licking Nathan's blood from his hand. "FATHER!?" His eyes widened as he starred. Dracula's grin grew wider as he saw fear for the first time appear on his son's face. He produced a dagger, and leaped from across the room, pouncing upon his unprepared foe. "My son, this game you have played with me over the ages was amusing at first. But now, it has come time to declare a winner. Goodbye my son." With those closing words, Dracula plunged the dagger into the half-vampire's gut. Alucard looked down, his skin felt strange, as if hardening. The feeling slowly crept to his fingers, he looked and saw them turn grey, looking like stone. "Father..." he whispered as the stone sleep took him in it's grasp. Outside, the moon slowly set behind Castlevania, it's eerie yellow light fading like mankind's hope for a bright future. With the coming of dawn, a new concern would wipe away tensions surround Lenin, the prohibition, and the ever raging color-conflicts, making way for the end of a two thousand year old war; the final clash, the final battle between the ambassadors of Heaven and Satan's servant, Dracula.
