I have a macbook too mate. Here is how you fix the lack of keys problem:
Get KeyRemap4Macbook
In the Preferences (found in a new System Preference pane) change the following setting:
"Change PageUp/PageDown Key" -> "PageUp to PC Insert Key"
This changes FN+Up to Insert (Objects in NED)
Also, FN+delete is the equivalent of Delete in Windows, if you didn't know ^^
