I think that miststalker mean about the tiles, is that you can only use the whole space, add, undo, replace, move or whatever, but always using and keeping the original tile formation.

That being said -

tiles are the dark gray squares. So you can copy/paste those tiles around in the light gray squares without overlapping the other dark gray tiles.
