The Story So Far:
1 -
For thousands of years it was said that a holy presence existed at the peak of the hanging cliffs above the village of Verena. This holy presence cast a bright light to fall upon the village at night every full moon.
For the last two full moons, no light occured, and slowly the enemies from within flooded the land. After a few weeks of training, one 'sacred' ninja was chosen to put an end to the suffering the enemies were causing, and to sacrafice himself to bring back the light.

Even before enemies were everywhere, people still feared ever entering the forest of Verena. But the only way to the top of the cliff was into the forest...

After a few hours of trecking through the forest, the ninja came to a vast opening so high up that falling would be death. Hungry and tired, the ninja looked up and saw an apple tree and jumped for its energy...
(Sorry that I'm not so good at story telling...oh, and the apple tree that I talk about is that patch of gold just above you at the start).
