Description | Just as N prepared to spring onto the meteor, he had a strange realization. The meteor was heading towards the ground, and right at him!
"Uh, Muv?" he said questioningly. "There's a gargantuan molten hunk of flaming rock falling over me." "You might want to get out of the way then", replied Muv. "If it hits you, you would most probably be reduced to a pathetically small heap of ash and burning embers. That could really be a setback in the plot." "Plot?" "Oh, nevermind. Just get out of the way!" Taking the clue, N heroically leaped out of under the meteor, barely escaping pulverization. He stumbled, and fell panting on a bed of green leaves. Everything was perfectly silent except for his heart and ferocious gasps of air. After regaining his breath, N sat up. Looking around, he appeared to be in the canopy of an immense oak tree. "Oh, not another", he hissed. "I _hate_ trees!" Just as he started profusely cursing the tree, sounds sprung to life beneath him. He could hear the mad beeping of a carnivorous seeker, and the occasional bang of a gauss turret. "Muv, what is this place?" N questioned. "I do believe that it is the Tree of Eternal Silence. No sound can penetrate the peacefullness of this sacred place. The ground below, on the other hand, is quite a hell to traverse, and your hearing will probably be completely eradicated bfore you are through." "So, I should probably take the high road?" "Yes, but be very careful. I will not be able to advise you until you are through. If things go for the worse, well..." "Ha! It'll be easy." And with those final words of parting, N plunged into the silent foliage. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Anyways, this is a very different map. The top half, the "canopy", is a difficult puzzle. You have to time all your jumps within a few frames to survive the thwump squeeze. It is possible without fbf, though. The bottom is a more relaxing action. You can choose to do just one half, or do them both for a difficult all-gold challenge. Please tell me what you think, and get me some demos! Also, I just realized that this is my fiftieth map! Woo! |
