Description (Resubmitted because I'm cool like that.)

N staggered gamely along the ocean floor, oblivious of the way that water tends to be boyount... but how did that concern him?

A noise beside him made him turn around in shock. "Gurgle" said a voice, that was mildly mysterious and somewhat unexplained. "Gurgle. Gurgle." N shook his head and pointed at his ears. "Gurgle gurgle gurgle!" said the voice, sounding somewhat annoyed, in the tone of voice that one uses when informing the one that one has been guiding for some months that he does not, in fact, actually have any ears.

Suddenly, a new voice drifted below the waters surface. "N!", it bellowed like something that had gone through bellows. "N! You have finally reached me!"
N spun around to try to find the speaker, and failing to see him, spun around again, and failing to see him there, continued to spin in a rather fancy kind of underwater pirrouhette.
"I have enjoyed watching your progress these past 49 days... you have been most entertaining, and for this, I congragulate you. But there is only one more task to complete, and then you will be granted your freedom..."
"Who are you?!" cried N at last, somewhat dizzily. Or, at least, he tried to cry that. It came out somewhat more like "Gurgle gurgle gurgle."
"Some call me The Sourcerer, some call me The Demon From The Theoretical Third Dimension", he said, reffering to a fantasy land never proven to exist, "and some call me Nancy. But as for who I am... I am... the creator." said the voice in a grand matrix impersonation. "Now... go about your buisness one last time in my final creation, your last great challange."
And as the voice faded in a sort of twisted, grandious matrix impersonation, N realised that it sounded for all the world like a multitude of acne- covered prepubescants, all speaking at the same time. He shrugged, and with nothing on his mind but his humble relatively robot- free home in the mountains, he set off for one last adventure.

"Gurgle! Gurgle gurgle GURGLE!" said Muv behind him.
"Oh, shut up" said N with some satisfaction, and started to ascend the partially submerged, twisted and coral- textured castle walls. (Well, for accuracy's sake, he actually said something closer to "Gurgle Gurgle Gurgle", but at this point, does it really matter?)

THE END.

*disclaimer: Actually, it's not really the end, seeing as we're still missing a map, have a large amount of tiresome editing and polishing ahead of us, and there's always the inevitable sequel...

But excluding that, this is The End of the Epic. Enjoy!

Comments appreciated. Criticisms very appreciated. I'm very willing to redo this map and replace it with a more fitting end for The Epic, if people dislike it enough to, you know, actually comment.

This map is very difficult, because it is- effectively- the last in a column of userlevels.

Epic enough for a mine jumper, this map is extremely difficult - and yet - fun. The Epic Part Fifty-One is addicting to the point that it's nearly impossible to stop playing. The mines are flawlessly placed, and yet augment a kind of deadly flowiness...that is, until N smashes on a mine, in which case, of course, you have to play it again. To add insult to injury (in a positive sense) there's the full-page final chapter of The Epic, hilariously written by an author who is master of the pen and tile. Well done, formica. — incluye

This is amazing. 5/5

I got the switch by my 4th try, but trying to come out is a different story.

YUS!

I finally did it! Completion! That bounce block part at the end is crazy.

LOVE IT

yes, 4.5 ninjas
I really dont think its possible to end an epic like this satisfactorily (erm... im shure its spelt something like that). Epics dont really end, or if they do they end with the hero and heroin strolling into the sunset or whatever. What im trying to say is; the game N does not have the capacity to carry a story like an epic needs, therefore any epic must continue for eternity.

Or you could make a level that was utterly impossible and tell people that N finally met his match : )

Anyway, this is an excellent level in its own right. Beautiful and challenging. Good luck finding closure.

its certainly tough

and very aesthetic. its a good looking finish to an epic level project, but i dont know if it has the playing quality. i would certainly see some improvements as beneficial, but i really dont know what might improve it. yeah, im a big help, i know, but theres just something that doesnt fit about this map. dammit i wish I knew what was wrong with it.

anyway, this gets a 3.5/5, a victim of its own hype a bit.

got four words for the demo.
i slipped and died.

Its good

difficulty isn't too bad, if you are going to take out enemies I would take out only the left-most gauss.

*considers*

Hmmm... I could probably edit the section pretty easily, it's not like it's going to affect the difficulty of the whole level?

I could get rid of enemies within it entirely, even, or simply get rid of the two bounceblocks (I agree, they're clumsy, but they really do help imrpove the aeshtetics IMO) and balance it out elsewhere in the level...

What do you reckon?

Damn

I'm trying to get a demo, but it will have to wait until later
nice map though.
The entire hole down to the exit switch is bit . . . blah. Watch my demo and you can tell what I mean. I can't really find a flow to the jumps and then, boom. I guess what I'm trying to say is, of all the maps you've made, this is one of them.
Demo Data

Oh.

2.5 average. Again.
A curious lack of correlation between the comments and the rating.

I'd like to ask a favour- this is the last map in a long chain, from a very large project that's involved myself and a number of others for months. If you dislike it, I _will_ redo this map... I hate to end something as large as this with a mediocore level.

Just, please, for mercy's sake, leave a comment.

Cool like what?

You know, like what?
