Description	This started out as a keyboard, but then it went sort of crazy. I don't really know what to make of it, so please feel free to critacize, question, or whatever. BONUS QUESTION what is the significance of the Ducks in J.D.Saliger's The Catcher in the Rye? EDIT: added rocket over guass, got rid of other guass, got rid of floor guard.

Yeah, I just did my GCSE English Literature partly on Catcher In The Rye

It symbolises his path to adulthood as Sketch says, and is also yet another way for Salinger to show the obsessive nature of Holden.

that's interesting.
I was thinking it showed how afraid he was that no one noticed his presence, or lack thier of, but your interpretation makes a helluva lot more sense.

The ducks

give a meaning that change is not permenant, since they leave the pond every year, and then return.

I just finished reading that book,

The ducks signify the path to adulthood, Holden is always curious about where the ducks go in the winter. It symbolizes that he is curious about where kids go when they grow up. In the summer everyone is looking after the ducks but in the winter noone is there. The same thing for adulthood
