i don't like the launch pads of death on the left wall, but the use of the normal doors
in the beginning is pretty clever. also, don't spell out words using objects unless it's
N Art. otherwise, it's annoying, distracting, and increases load time.

No you don't. Here's a completion demo, take a look.
Not a bad map, ukp, there's some nice ideas here. But in the future, try to stay away from using so many objects, keep things simple. And people don't really like hidden enemies, though in this case they weren't too annoying.
