Forgot to say it before, don't try with a big thwump, it was the first thing I tried and it doesn't work, thwumps size is not modificable. Also drones are circles not squares, althought not sure about this, anyway try as you want. ;)

Hi there.

I promised in IRC I'd play your map, so here I am. Stylistically, I'm not a huge fan of this. Tileset is ok, but some of the objects are very messily placed! (Mainly the gold and doors).

In terms of gameplay, I like the aerial parts of the map (i.e. the top) much more than the bottom, as the lasers in the bottom are too restrictive. For me, the gauss and seekers made a good combination. Hopefully catch in you again in IRC sometime!
I thought about making both lasers go the same direction but decided that the player spends most of its time below the pagoda and so i preferred it this way. There is a lot of gold because i am insane, and often cant control my goldyness...however i understand your concern. Thank you for your feedback and compliment on the tiles however, although we may disagree with somethings I always welcome and cherish your feedback.
This map would be quite good with a few adjustments. First, I'd make the lasers both rotate clockwise around the pagoda. This way the difficulty would be more spread across the map, which is usually preferred in symmetric maps.

Second, I'd take away the gauss turret. The lasers and seeker drones are enough IMO.

My last comment is that there is too much gold, or all the gold is too difficult to get, particularly the diagonal strings of gold, which are pretty annoying as it's difficult to get the whole string in one swoop. Other than these things, I think you have a good map. I'm particularly fond of the tiles. 3
