The only section I see that has forced direction is the underground area, and that's only the way in and out. The rest is very open to interpretation.

If you could be more specific perhaps it would help?

Erm, I'm not saying there is a vast abundance of mines, I just don't think they're all needed. It feels as though you're pigeon-holing the player into taking on each enemy in a certain way, rather than allowing an amount of freedom.

AS for the burning at the stake thing, I guess I should start thinking before I speak.

I can't see any reason in that.

It may seem crowded, but it definitely plays very open. The mines really are nowhere near excessive and while my best work is definitely near the lower end of my archive 'burned at the stake' is a rather thoughtlessly heavy metaphor.

Reads like a preference for minimalism clashing more than anything.

I didn't like it that much.

YOu've made maps which are so much better than this. And you're being burned at the stake for not coming good every time. IT just felt clogged up, with too much going on, and way too many mines.
