http://pastebin.com/f23f4749 This map felt a little one pathed, so I made this quick tile edit. I think it is fun. I can't add objects, but I would personally put a mine some where in there for looks. The edit is above that twhump on the right wall. Here is a demo to show the use, and it won't break my demo. :) It is a little hard, but might be faster than the path I used so it is rewarding.

but I don't want it to be easier. I want that gold to be a challenge worth going for.

I like the aesthetics and how the doors work. Adds a little depth to the play.

The mines at the bottom aren't the sexiest, but they work perfectly in terms of play so I'll leave them where they are.
If you like the look of those doors don't read this, but if you aren't happy with the aesthetics of them then you should. Why not just take out the mines? Why not just move that gold all one spot down? In the bottom right you have the same gold pattern without those mines. Why not just make it a flip of that? Wouldn't that be easier? I agree with Nevershine to some degree that the mines on the bottom aren't the best looking, but it just plays so bloody well...
Made a few edits to smooth out play.
This is hard. Actually, only one part is hard, and that is the rocket. The rest of the map is medium, but I didn't get much chances to play that part of the map because the rocket killed me so much. It is hard to make a good demo when you have a long action map. Things I liked:
The gausses(especially the highest gauss), the mines(classic atob placement), the drones, the tiles, the floor guard, and eventhough it killed me the rocket.
That is pretty much everything in this map. The only thing I can complain about is the mines by the key. It is just really annoying, because if you accidentally die you have to start all over again. It is just so hard to get one complete demo, and I like getting complete demos. This time I can't, and believe me, many moons have passed as I tried to get a good demo.

I don't like the gold and mine patterns, but the bottom part plays really well. And the drones were used cleverly.
