Decent amounts of fun, but this has been done before plenty of times which kind of diminishes the impact. Execution is decent but functional really more than anything else; there really needs to be a bit more flair for this to stand out from its peers.

It's happened before, the issue is with the hot maps system really

If you go around sniping maps then you annoy one person, if you anti-snipe it gets on everyone's tits innit? The person who it's happened to feels guilty/annoyed that their map seems to be getting all the wrong kinds of attention, and everyone else is angry that their maps are starting in the lower half of hot maps...

Just ignore it, they'll get bored eventually. Comments are where the real fun's at anyway.

People are being too enthusiastic or impulsive with their rates recently

It seems like some people are handing out a 5/5 if they merely like the map. This is not a perfect map, and it's hardly even a particularly good map. There is a bit of force to the gameplay that doesn't let you stop, and it has a nice progression to it. But it looks almost as bad as it could, and there's only one way to complete it. It's all small, with no surprises. I think that for quite a while earlier in the year, there was a patch with a lower average quality of mapping, partly due to the server errors/mapping being split between NARC. It's taken a month or more, but we're getting back into the swing of things, and there are consistently high quality maps being created now. Don't get me wrong, this is good, but it, nor the other three maps on the front page with a 5/5 rating actually deserve that rating.

Personally, as far as looks go, I myself am not fond of the launchpads nor the piece of gold in between the first two thwumps' starting positions, but all of them were necessary for gameplay.
