i mostly use the tiles 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7. they can be made into awesome tile sets :)

hmmm...
im not sure if there is any sort of secret, i usually just experiment with a mixture of tiles and see what comes up, some of them good, some bad.
and dont be too hard on yourself, whrn i started making maps my tilesets were worst than asshole. if i were too show you a map i made around 2 - 3 years ago you would probably laugh. but i eventually got the hang of it and had heaps of inspiration from other people maps. i guess experience and inspiration pays-off in this case. i still think your maps are sweet.

I got a lot of inspiration of making minimalistic maps from looking at other people's maps.

yeah ive had a lot of experience on making good tile sets, i just havnt gotten the hang of placing gold well, it always turns out messy. but i guess practice makes perfect.
also i found that map when i looked at your profile. alot of your maps are great.

Speedrun. I like it. A little messy but still fine. Work on your gold a little more, that's your lesser point. Continue on the great tilesets (I've seen some of your maps)
